Dave Deppe was a Baraboo man and a family man. The Deppe Companies celebrated 100 years of business in Baraboo in 2014 and are now operated by fourth and fifth generation of Deppe family. Dave was the latest owner of the Deppe Companies and was active for 60 years in the family enterprise. He helped to develop local industrial parks and built several commercial buildings which, in turn, brought several companies to Baraboo. David had an interest in Circus World Museum since its beginnings in the late 1950s and continued to support it over the years. He also had a great interest in a variety of motorsports, including collecting 1957 Chevrolet cars, late model stock and dirt racing as well as truck and tractor pulling. Dave was the recipient of the Baraboo Kiwanis Club’s prestigious Al Dippel Award and was a past master of the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Circus World Museum Board of Directors.
